Print Time now offers our customers a service which we believe will greatly enhance and expedite their print orders for business cards, letterhead and envelopes. Our new service allows you to build your business materials right on your own computer and submit your order directly to Print Time for processing.

 

How does the service work?

  1. We create a module specifically designed for your company's needs. This module is built exactly to your specifications, ensuring that your business materials always meet your corporate standards. Each module we build is password protected, and resides in a special area of Print Time's website.

  2. Each module we build gives your associates the opportunity to enter their specific information in clearly designated fields. Once the information is entered, a visual representation of the card, letterhead or envelope is clearly visible on the screen for remote printing purposes. An edit button gives your associate the opportunity to go back and make any changes. This way, they control the way their name is spelled, their title, and any accompanying telephone or email information. The access and customization of this information by the associate can be controlled at any level you require.

  3. Once the submit button is clicked, a text file is written of the information provided by your associate. This text file can be emailed to Print Time, emailed or moved electronically to a clearing station within your company via your intranet, or can be saved to the hard drive of the associate and copied to any removable medium, i.e. diskette or zip disk.

  4. When Print Time receives this text file, it is merged into existing templates built in Quark Xpress. No data-entry is undertaken by Print Time. The text remains as it was originally keyed.

What are the benefits?

Control. You can order your business materials wherever you are, whenever you are ready. You do not need to contact Print Time to get the process started.

Speed. Your order enters our system as soon as it is submitted. There is no re-keying of information, and no extra proofing phase. This can cut hours and even days out of the process.

Accuracy and Reliability. Your information is not re-keyed by Print Time but is as it was originally submitted. Consequently, the possibility for errors is dramatically reduced.

Customizability. You can ask for and receive changes to the templates very quickly, and can make immediate changes and updates to existing business materials.

How do the modules work?

The Print Time Online Modules are built in a multimedia application called Shockwave. To use these modules, make sure that you have a PC or Macintosh computer with sufficient memory to run them (we suggest at least 24MB free memory allocated to Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Explorer, and recommend 36MB).

Additionally, you will need to install the Shockwave plugin into your preferred browser's Plug Ins folder. The installer is free, and you can click the Macromedia Shockwave icon below to download the Shockwave installer.
